Testimonials
Trusted by our valued community
I have worked for Sea for nearly 11 years, I initially started as bank staff and I learnt so much about our clients and their individual needs. I really do enjoy working with Sea as they provide BSL and it is easy to communicate with others, I have worked in various regions, them being Liverpool, Manchester, Preston and Kent. I really do enjoy meeting various clients and their individual needs. It is a big thanks to Sea for providing training, this includes online training, NVQ. There is a wealth of courses and workshops you can attend and it is a fantastic service. I really do enjoy working with sea and hope they continue to grow across the uk.

My name is Peter Harrison, I want to speak about sea. I want to say SEA is very good and provides qualified support to help me improve my communication and help with things, like phone calls, cooking, gym etc. I am happy with SEA staff for 6 years now, and it’s really useful having the support.I have different staff and its great, I give them 5 stars.I been using SEA staff support for different things – cooking, gym, well-being, exercise, walking, holidays etc. all fantastic. Love you all SEA Staff and clients. Keep safe.

I’m an outreach/Support worker for SEA Support Service. They are the best company because they are very supportive and look after their staff. They influence staff to become fantastic carers for clients and patients, have positive team work and have full disability and deaf awareness so are fantastic at providing services for staff and clients. They provide full training to improve skills and experience.

Since SEA I achieved my first tattoo, staff now helping me book my second one. I been on my first holiday ever to heaven caravan with other clients and staff. I’m going on a plane for the first time, I'm going to Spain, staff helped me plan for it and staff coming with me. I got the big room which is now Liverpool my favourite. Staff support me to clean my fish tank, teach me to cook and go out to activities. I now have friends and we have meals together, BBQ. Sea staff are amazing and teaching me more BSL

Staff support me to go out to the gym and different activities. Staff have helped me achieve BSL certificate, work experience, perform in local dance shows at deaf active. They remind me to clean my home and do my washing and help me create shopping list for my food shopping; they teach me to cook my own meals. I struggle to communicate with my family as they do not understand BSL and SEA has helped me to create visual pictures which help me to communicate when I go back home and visit my family.

Before SEA I was in a mental health hospital Cygnet and my mental health improved enough to allow me to move to SEA. I will never forget as it was during covid and I moved to Beach House in Liverpool, staff were kind and made me feel welcome. They taught me how to keep myself safe during covid and was reassuring whenever I got anxious. Few years later I then moved SEA Village where I now go to Deaf Club and local shops on my own which before I always needed staff with me. Staff help me cook my own meals as I struggle to understand the instructions so they explain it to me. I like staff at SEA as they use BSL so I can understand, communicate with them, I can talk to them when my mental Health is low which has stopped me from self-harm, I have not self-harmed since I moved to SEA. I will never forget my 50th birthday and everyone came to SEA Village to celebrate I was so surprised, every year staff cook Christmas dinner for me and other client who do not go home and the make it special. I feel more free and I go on holiday abroad every year with staff
